Infographics are meant to display information in a visual way that allows the viewer to understand them in a way that isn’t complicated. The World Food Crisis has a lot of information that needs to show comparisons and differences between countries in an easy way. The infograph needs to make the viewer think about the content, encourage comparisons, and reveal several layers of detail.
To make this information easier to understand, it was important that the numbers were displayed in a way that made them easy to read. Interconnectivity with the main graphic and one of the smaller ones provides visual interest and makes the display of information more engaging for the viewer. Because the problem was to show the comparing and contrasting of information in more visual way, each graph was chosen in order to show the comparisons and contrasts quickly.
